Greetings in Jesus’ Name!

We are finalizing our plans for our upcoming trip to Peru.  I am leaving on the 23rd of the month, and will return March 1.  This trip is shorter than my usual, by about a week.  But responsibilities here at home mean I have to return after only a week.

Pastor Bill Rogers of Word of Life Fellowship in Bentonville is coming with me.  He will travel on to El Salvador to minister with our mutual friend, Pastor Rick Morgan, who leads a great work in that country.

Our primary purpose in going is to speak at the Victory Fellowship of Ministries annual conference in Lima.  The conference runs from the 25th to the 27th.  This year’s theme is “Conquering Your Challenges: A) In your marriage; B) In your ministry; C) In your personal life; D) In your vision…etc.  I don’t know the conference daily schedule yet, but I will pass it on so you can be praying for our specific ministry times.

In addition to the VFM Conference, both Pastor Bill and I will be ministering in several churches in Lima.  I’ll also have that schedule worked out soon, and will pass it along as well.

When Marsha and I began our Peruvian mission ministry ten years ago the nation was estimated to be about 5% evangelical.  Today Peru is estimated to be nearly 20% evangelical.  Christianity is exploding in South America, and it is exciting to be a part of that explosion, even if our contribution to the efforts to evangelize Peru is small.  What’s even more exciting is to be able to witness the changes as we travel to Peru each year.    Your prayers and financial support make our ministry in Peru possible.

The total expenses for the trip are about $1600.00.  Our hotel is covered, and a part of our airline ticket.  As always, all funds given toward the trip will go toward actual trip expenses or to bless ministries we work with in Peru.  If you’d like to help, please send your tax-deductible gift to Destiny Church, 1704 W. Industrial Drive, Rogers, AR 72756.  A receipt for IRS purposes will be sent to you at the end of the year.

The most important thing you can do for us is to pray!  We can always tell when our prayer covering is the strongest, and it was never stronger than on our last trip.  Please agree with me that God will continue to use us in a powerful way as we minister to the people in Peru—people we have come to dearly love.

Thank you for partnering with us.  I’ll update you on our schedule as soon as I have the information, and will send email reports while we’re in Peru.  I’m also working on providing reports via FaceBook and Twitter.  My FB and Twitter ID is pastorjimdixon, if you’d like to join me there.

God bless.   I look forward to seeing the fruits of our partnership together.

In His Love,

Jim
